Terms Of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Paragon Research Institute (PRI), including SCiPNet, our Roblox games, Discord integrations, websites, and related tools (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.

2. Who We Are

The Services are operated by KERR & TANGO LLC which runs Paragon Research Institute (PRI) and its Paragon Manufacturing Department (MaD). Contact: sysadmin@paragon.directory

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy

3. Quick Definitions

  • "You": the person using the Services (or the entity you represent).
  • "Content": anything posted, uploaded, or generated within the Services.
  • "Accounts": linked identities via platform logins (e.g., Google/Discord/Roblox).

4. Eligibility

  • You must be 13+ to use the Services.
  • If you are under 16 in the EU, you need parental consent for platform logins (Google/Discord/Roblox).
  • You must also follow each platform’s own rules (Roblox, Discord, Google, etc.).

5. Accounts & Access

  • You may sign in via OAuth to verify identity and link accounts.
  • Keep your credentials secure; you’re responsible for actions on your account.
  • We may change, suspend, or revoke access if we detect misuse, risk, or rule violations.

6. Acceptable Use (Dont'ts)

You agree not to:

  • Cheat, exploit, automate, or otherwise manipulate gameplay/systems.
  • Harass, dox, threaten, spam, or share illegal/infringing content.
  • Bypass bans or security controls; probe, scan, or overload our systems.
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape in ways that violate applicable laws or platform policies.
  • Use the Services for unlawful purposes or to violate third-party rights.

7. Moderation & Enforcement

  • We may log moderation events (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans) to protect the community.
  • We may remove content or suspend/terminate access at our discretion for violations or risk to users, staff, or infrastructure.
  • Ban evasion or interference with moderation is prohibited.

8. In-Service Items and Progress

Any roles, ranks, items, currency, or progression are licensed, have no cash value, and may be changed, reset, or removed for balance, technical, or policy reasons.

9. Third-Party Platforms & No Affiliation

Our Services integrate with third-party platforms (Roblox, Discord, Google, etc.) that have their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for their services. Paragon/PRI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox, the SCP Foundation, or related rights holders.

10. Intellectual Property

  • The Services and their content (code, art, text, designs) are owned or licensed by KERR & TANGO LLC or respective rights holders.
  • You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works unless we expressly allow it.
  • For content you submit, you retain your rights, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, and display it in the Services to operate and improve them.

11. Feedback

If you give us feedback or suggestions, you let us use them without obligation or compensation.

12. Disclaimers ("AS IS")

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee they’ll be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent allowed by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or reputation.
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the last 6 months. Nothing here limits liability where it can’t be limited by law.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately (with or without notice) if you breach these Terms, create risk, or harm other users or the Services. Upon termination, your right to use the Services stops immediately.

15. Informal Dispute Resolution First

If you have a concern or dispute about the Services, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us at sysadmin@paragon.directory. We’ll try to work it out in good faith.

16. Governing Law & Venue

Regardless of where you live, these Terms and your use of the Services are governed by the State of [STATE], USA (excluding its conflict-of-law rules).

  • EU/EEA/UK consumers: you still benefit from any mandatory consumer protectionsof your country of residence.
  • Venue: the state and federal courts located in [COUNTY], [STATE], USA (e.g., “[Clark County, Nevada]”) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
  • Nothing prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable reliefin any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property or service integrity.

17. U.S./EU/UK Legal & Sanctions Compliance

You represent and warrant that you are not:

      (i) located in a country subject to U.S./EU/UK embargoes or designated as supporting terrorism; or
      (ii) listed on any U.S./EU/UK government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You agree not to use the Services in violation of applicable export/sanctions laws.

18. Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be modified to achieve its purpose to the maximum extent permitted, and the remainder will stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

19. Translation Interpretation

If we provide translations of these Terms, the original English version controls in case of conflict.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. (Privacy matters are governed by the Privacy Policy.)

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. For significant changes, we’ll try to notify users via the website, Discord, or in-Service notices. If you continue using the Services after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
